PRECIOSA BURBUJAS reflects her ongoing exploration of the shifting foundations of value, exchange, and desire. Once, precious metals such as gold and silver grounded economic life in something tangible and enduring. Today, society navigates systems built on speculation, artifice, and inflation. Worth is no longer certain or fixed. It has become unstable and fleeting.

In this work, she draws on the ocean as both metaphor and material memory. The bubbles and foam that rise and dissolve on the shoreline echo cycles of economic expansion and collapse. They swell with light and movement, yet their beauty is transient, disappearing as quickly as it appears. This natural rhythm mirrors the way society swells with illusion and manufactured promise, only to deflate and return to stillness.

Through PRECIOSA BURBUJAS, she gives form to these tensions, uniting the language of the sea with the language of light. The work makes visible the invisible forces that shape economies, bodies, and desires, while honoring the ocean’s role as both a site of constant change and a source of enduring inspiration.
